GERALDO SOUZA DIAS  
   
 

Architect, painter and teacher, Geraldo Souza Dias was born in Sao Paulo in 1954. He studied at FAU in Sao Paulo, at the Pratt Institute in New York and at the Universität der Künste Berlin. His recurring issues are geometric structures, urban clippings, glue, and the incorporation of the word landscape. His exposure BABEL, at the Octagon Art Gallery in 2007, a hybrid of painting, sculpture, installation and calligram reflects such concerns. In 2008 exposed "Philadelphia Stories and other stories" Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo, after an artist residency at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. In 2009 presents "chips" and in 2010, "T-Pain-Structures", in Gallery Eduardo Fernandes. It has works in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo, Museu de Arte de Santa Catarina, Bayerische Hypotheken-und Wechselbank AG, Munich
Berlin-Hannoversche Hypothekenbank AG, Berlin, Öffentliche Versicherung, Braunschweig and Vermont Studio Colony, Johnson, VT (USA).
