Apr. 19th to Apr. 22nd - SP Art Exhibition

GALERIA EDUARDO H FERNANDES and
GALÉRIE SYCOMORE, PARIS
AT THE SP ARTE

Following the partnership started in 2006, between Galérie Sycomore and Galeria Eduardo H Fernandes, they have participated together in the SP ARTE 2007 FAIR, from 18 to 22 April, at the Biennial Pavilion, at Ibirapuera Park in São Paulo.
 
Parallel to this, in a show curated by Guy Amado, sixteen Brazilian and French artists showed their work at a group show at the Galeria Eduardo H Fernandes, from April 18 to May 18.

“It was very important for the partnership between Sycomore and Eduardo H Fernandes to have participated in the SP ARTE Fair because of its importance in this market. This interchange of contemporary art between two different countries develops and widens the production basis of these two galleries. It is fundamental to open a space for discussing the creative process, the influence that art exerts, its social role nowadays, not ignoring the relationships with the market. To widen the horizon with partnerships such as this is part of our project!” said Eduardo Fernandes.

The artists chosen to participate in the SP Arte 2007 were:

Alberto Lefèvre, Ana Amelia Genioli, Cristina Sá, Eduardo Climachauska, Kristin Capp, Martijn van Oorschot, Newman Schutze, and Padovan.

From Galérie Sycomore:

Christine Laquet, David  Brunner, Sophie Bacquie, Frédéric Nakache, Gregoire Voevodski, Emma De Laforest , Véronique Rizzo and Renata Barros.

In January 2007, Galérie Sycomore, organized a Group Show in Paris with artists from Galeria Eduardo H Fernandes.

Highlights:

- Eduardo Climachauska (who will participate in the Fair and Group Show) exhibited ESQUERDO (Left) at the USP University Center – Maria Antônia, until the end of May.
- Renata Padovan (also participated in the SP Arte) was at the Video Art Festival at Centre George Pompidou, in Paris, in October 2006.
